In a small mixing bowl combine the following:
- 1 cup chunky salsa
- 1- 8 oz can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger root or dash ground ginger
Cover and chill for several hours until serving time. Bring to room temperature to serve. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
Try this the next time you pull your Thanksgiving ham out of the oven or reheat those leftovers. Also goes great on a spicy Italian sausage pizza – believe it or not.
